How the privacy works
A check your computer runs, not a promise.
You have to describe your invention to search for it. Anteriora is built so that where your description goes is something your own computer checks, every session, before a word is sent, and so that you can see what the check proves and what it cannot.
Built on
- Confidential computinghardware-isolated machines
- Intel TDX · NVIDIA confidential GPUsthe AI assistant
- AMD SEV-SNPthe patent search
- Remote attestationa hardware-signed report, checked on your computer
- Signed software identitypublished by InferRoute
- Sealed to the verified machinesealed on your computer; our relay cannot read it
Each machine is verified on your computer, every session, before anything is sent to it.
Step by step
Verify first. Then send.
1. Your computer
You write your description. The app holds it in a matter, in a folder on your computer. Nothing is sent yet.
2. The verified machine
The assistant runs in a hardware-isolated machine (confidential computing). The app fetches its hardware-signed report (remote attestation) and checks it: the chip maker's signature, and that its software matches the identity InferRoute signed and published. If a check fails, nothing is sent.
3. The session
Your description is sealed on your computer to that machine and sent. InferRoute's relay carries it without being able to read it. The session shows what was checked, and what the check cannot prove. You can export a record and check it with the verifier that ships in it.
What the check establishes
- The machine runs on confidential-computing hardware: the chip maker's signature checks out.
- Its software matches the identity InferRoute signed and published.
- Your description was sealed on your computer to that machine before it left.
- The record of a session's searches can be checked by anyone with the verifier that ships in it, without trusting InferRoute.
What no check can show, and we say so
- That nothing was kept. A hardware check cannot prove a negative.
- When you sent something, and how much, is not hidden.
- That a search is complete. It is a first look, not a complete search.
- Anything legal. The check is technical; it is not an NDA, and it is not legal advice.
An NDA is a promise; this is a check your computer runs. Technical confidentiality, not a legal NDA.
Job by job
Where each job runs.
Prior-art survey
Your description is sealed on your computer to the verified machine and sent after the check. The patent search itself runs in a second hardware-isolated machine (AMD SEV-SNP) that the app also verifies first.
Read a document or a repository
You choose what it reads; test code can be left out. What it reads is sealed on your computer to the verified machine and sent after the check. The draft matters are written to a folder on your computer.
Name check
The searches run on your computer, in a local copy of the registers; a name is never sent to a trademark register, a search engine or a website. The assistant that writes the report runs on the checked sealed machine, so it does see your names and product description.
Questions
About the check.
What is a sealed machine?
A hardware-isolated machine built on confidential computing. Its hardware signs a report of what it is running (remote attestation). The app reads that report, checks the chip maker's signature, and checks that the software matches the identity InferRoute signed and published, before a word is sent. Software inside that machine can read your text; the check does not prove what it does with it.
Which technology is this?
Confidential computing. The assistant runs in a machine using Intel TDX with NVIDIA confidential GPUs; the patent search runs in a machine using AMD SEV-SNP. Your computer verifies each one by remote attestation before anything is sent to it.
What does “sealed” mean, technically?
Your text is encrypted on your computer with a key bound to the machine the app just verified, so it cannot be read in transit or at InferRoute's relay. Inside that machine it is read by the software the check verified.
What is “the identity InferRoute signed and published”?
A fingerprint of the exact software the sealed machine is meant to run, signed by InferRoute and published. The app refuses to send anything to a machine whose statement does not match it.
What is the record, and what does it prove?
An export of a session's searches and what came back, with a verifier that ships in it. Anyone can run the verifier without trusting InferRoute. It does not show that nothing was kept, and it does not establish when you invented something.
Is this an NDA?
No. An NDA is a promise between people; this is a check your computer runs. Technical confidentiality, not a legal NDA, and not legal advice.
